Mohamed Sathak trust is a charitable educational organization established in 1973 by philanthropic Mohamed Sathak family of Kilakarai, Ramnad district, Tamilnadu, India, with the noble aim of promoting technical, medical and management education and training of personnel to meet the technical, health and managerial needs of the country. At present our trust is governing 18 institutions.
The founder Chairman Late Alhaj S.M. Ahamed Jalaluddin, was the binding force behind the establishment of a trust for the charitable and educational needs of the poor and downtrodden people.
Its aim is promotion of Technical, Scientific, Medical and Management Education and training of personnel to meet the Technical and Managerial needs of the country. It endeavors to spread technical and management education at all levels of society, in particular among the backward communities. First the trust has started to give scholarship to the poor backward class students from 1973. Afterwards, it has started the Institutions.
Mohamed Sathak A.J College of Physiotherapy at Chennai was started in 2002, is recognised by Government of Tamilnadu under G.O.NO.51 dated on 22.02.01, and affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University. The College has a team of professionally qualified and experienced faculty. It offers Undergraduate degree as Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree (B.P.T- 4 1/2 yrs ) 4 Years Course with an additional six months of compulsory full time internship in either Government or Private hospitals approved by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University. It offers Post graduate Degree in Master of Physiotherapy Degree ( M.P.T- 2 years in various specialities).
